We’re in Law & Order territory with a story “ripped from the headlines” – specifically the case of Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was kidnapped aged 11 in 1991 and remained missing for more than 18 years. Here, a Jane Doe is admitted and soon turns out to have a similar interest for the national press.
Cristina is also a woman in demand as staff begin interviews for post-residency positions at other hospitals. Hopefully, the jostling for promotion doesn’t lead to too many departures come series nine.

20/24. The team deals with a nameless victim of a kidnapping and sexual attack who turns out to be the subject of a case that generated national interest. Meanwhile, the fifth years begin to focus on life after Seattle Grace Hospital and look into post-residency career options, and Richard feels unsettled when he visits his wife Adele in the nursing home.
