- Radio Times

If you thought Sinéad O’Connor being booked to appear on Later... guaranteed an unpredictable show, you were half-right: after the paper version of Radio Times went to press, she pulled out.
Another singer with the whiff of danger about her is here, though: St Vincent, whose regal appearance hides serious guitar wizardry and lyrics churning with unsettling images. Also in Jools’s loop of integrity are Richard Hawley, Damon Albarn, fiery and dishy Armenian pianist Tigran and Charles Bradley, a 63-year-old former James Brown impersonator whose debut single only came out in 2002.
About this programme
3/6. Multi-instrumentalist Annie Erin Clark, better known by her stage name St Vincent, makes her debut on the show, Richard Hawley showcases material from Standing at the Sky's Edge, and Damon Albarn returns with songs from Dr Dee, a new album inspired by the life of Elizabethan mathematician and astronomer John Dee. Completing the line-up are American soul singer Charles Bradley, Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan and upcoming west London pop star Rita Ora. An extended edition can be seen on Friday at 11.30pm.
