Gone are the days when pharmacies looked like a Damien Hirst exhibit. They’ve had to diversify, which leads to an extended riff from Peter and Quagmire as they visit Mort’s shop. But Mort’s having trouble making ends meet, so a cunning plan is hatched to burn his shop down, with only Quagmire expressing any qualms: “This is not smuggling oriental women into the country in steel cans, this is a serious felony”.
It’s a not-exactly-subtle dig at the insurance business, and a not-exactly-hilarious episode. Sharper and funnier is the second one in this double bill, in which Chris and Peter go to a lethal fat camp, while Brian torments Stewie with a Queen album cover.
