Phew. So much happens in this penultimate episode of the fourth series that it’s hard to imagine where the season finale can go. We start with the vamps all tooled up in leather – Jessica’s even packing a rocket launcher – ready to launch a full-frontal attack on Marnie’s emporium. But that’s a Sun-based protection spell she’s raised, so she’s feeling pretty safe. Unlike Sookie, Lafayette and Jesus, who are now stuck inside with the “wiccan dips**t”, as Pam so helpfully puts it. Meanwhile Sam and Alcide have a rendezvous with wolfpack leader Maurice. And it’s not for them to howl happily at the moon together.
Casualties and gore to the fore – and no one will be the same again. Even Andy gets a close encounter he wasn’t expecting.
