Ever wanted to see Philip Glenister gut a chicken, Keeley Hawes wear a cuttlefish glove or Felicity Kendal grub for pignuts? You’ve come to the right place.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has invited them to River Cottage to live welly-style for two days and brush up on their cookery skills (or, in Keeley’s case, accumulate some). It might be a touch self-satisfied, lubricated with jolly glasses of wine and powered by truffled egg sandwiches, but the magic of River Cottage seems to work on whoever spends time there. Our three are soon throwing themselves into everything from fishing for mackerel to plucking nettle-tops.
