About this programme
2/2. In the second of two programmes, the high-profile pensioners face a life they all fear when they move into care homes for the elderly. John Simpson stays with dementia sufferers, but he struggles to connect with his fellow residents, and Lesley Joseph meets old people who cannot afford to pay for their care, to see how they feel about the limited resources on offer. However, the experience proves tough for Gloria Hunniford, who is adamant she never wants to end up in a home, and for Tony Robinson, who simply wants to walk out.
