About this programme

The story of Victorian adventurer Hugh Munro and his determination to list and climb all the Scottish mountains whose height exceeds 3,000ft. Nicholas Crane visits some of the country's spectacular mountains as he explores the adventurer's bid to reach more than 500 peaks and reveals how his name has been adopted by climbing enthusiasts pursuing the same goal, a pastime known as Munro bagging.
