Mayoral candidate Darren Richmond is back in the race, but his catastrophic injuries after the assassination bid have left him a more thoughtful man, which brings him
into direct conflict with scary Chief Jackson, the native American woman who runs security at the mysterious casino where Rosie Larsen was last seen alive. Jackson is tough, violent and very adept at blackmail.
As the hunt for Rosie’s killer grinds on, outside forces are undermining the investigation: Detective Sarah Linden has been thrown off the case and the files are missing. Her quisling boss has typical TV-cop advice for her persistent partner Holder: “Let it go!”
