Cherry Healey: How to Get a Life

Series 1 - 2. Are We All Addicts?

Want to meet people who are chasing a quick fix to their problems? Here’s a range of youngish types who have experimented with legal highs and popping pills in an attempt to make their lives better.

Cherry Healey continues her series of personal documentaries with a motley collection of people sampling various types of snake oil. She meets a fitness freak who encourages her to sample laughing gas, a mum who is trying to revitalise her sex life with over-the-counter pills and a regular user of the legal high salvia.

It’s a chatty, flabby kind of show that may givea few giggles, but it’s not packed with insight. And the point is… well, the drugs don’t work. No surprises there then, unless you’re an impressionable teenager – which is probably whom these shows are aimed at.
