“Honesty is the best policy.” Just because it’s a cliché doesn’t mean it doesn’t hold true, as David and Mary Margaret are about to find out. They’ve decided to make their love official, so David has to tell his wife the truth. But he fudges it and, as Mary Margaret walks down the streets of Stonybrooke, it’s soon apparent the days of Hawthorne’s Scarlet Letter haven’t quite left small-town America.
Can heroic Charming do any better in the fantasy world? And what is the motorcycle man doing with Henry’s book? The mystery thickens in this pleasing drama that has enough bite to counter its “fairy-tale” roots.
About this programme
13/22. Kathryn tells David they have to move to Boston, but although he knows this would wreck his relationship with Mary Margaret, he still cannot admit his affair - although Regina has no trouble spilling the beans, leading to a dramatic showdown at the school. Meanwhile, Prince Charming runs away to avoid his wedding to Princess Abigail, only to discover she does not want to marry him either as she is in love with a man who has been turned to gold after touching King Midas during a battle. Vowing to help her, the prince sets off for a magical lake that can restore anything that has been lost - but he encounters a deadly shape-shifting creature.
