Melvyn Bragg and guests discuss the life and work of 9th-century philosopher Al-Kindi. Heavily influenced by Greek ideology, he supervised the translation of many works by Aristotle and others into Arabic and is regarded as one of the greatest scholars of the medieval Islamic world.
