It’s a horror story this week, but look away now if you haven’t seen the previous episode. For those who have, you may want to look away, too, because it’s messy: big bad John is dead, shot through the head in Hit & Miss’s messiest and most shocking plot twist yet. It couldn’t happen to a nicer man. But poor Riley, who pulled the trigger (though in mitigation, John was trying to strangle her at the time) is understandably traumatised.
There follows a gruesome series of scenes as Mia disposes of John’s remains with the help of the always paternal Eddie. And an axe. Wherever that hilltop farm is, it’s not exactly Walton Mountain.
About this programme
5/6. Mia is forced to draw upon her professional knowledge to cover up what Riley has done, but is uncomfortable with receiving assistance from Eddie, whom she still cannot fully trust. Meanwhile, Ben's confusion about his attraction to Mia grows when he learns more about her past.
