This branch of the CSI franchise is replenishing its cast brilliantly. Ted Danson is a great addition and now another character with terrific potential steps into the lab. Elisabeth Shue plays “blood whisperer” Julie Finlay, an expert in blood analysis and spatter patterns who, we must assume from their intriguing banter, has some kind of history with DB Russell. Heck, she even knows what DB stands for.
Russell brings in “Finn” to consult on a perplexing double murder where the only known witness has short-term memory loss after being shot in the head. The case is average but the chemistry between Finn and Russell is something special.
About this programme
14/22. Nick and Morgan witness a speeding car plough into a parked truck, and find the driver has been shot. The investigators discover the case could be linked to another shooting, but have trouble figuring out what happened beforehand - so DB calls on a former colleague, blood-spatter expert Julie Finlay, for assistance. However, she is far from impressed with the team's work and has no qualms letting them know about it. Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas) joins the cast.
