After the hokum about Grace having visions last week, The Mentalist tries to move on, in a shuffling, embarrassed sort of way. The good news is that the Red John subplot raises its gory head again. You’ll remember there’s a woman from the FBI who isn’t convinced the serial killer is dead. Fair enough: neither are we. But she’s asking for all his case files, digging around with old girlfriends in a way that seems guaranteed to sign her own death warrant.
Our friends at the CBI, meanwhile, investigate the death of a fashion designer, found stabbed with a golden feather in his mouth. But the word “investigate” might be overstating it.
