About this programme

Sean McAllister's documentary follows Kais, a tour guide in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, as he becomes caught up in the events of a 2011 revolution which would eventually lead to the end of president Ali Abdullah Saleh's 33-year reign. Though initially sceptical about the protests, Kais gradually starts to empathise with the movement - but also struggles to earn a living and support his pregnant wife as life in the country becomes increasingly chaotic.
