Mark Dolan goes in search of overweight families, beginning with a trip to Tonga, and considers whether the cultural belief linking physical bulk to beauty and wealth is responsible for the South Pacific island's obesity problem. In Mexico, Mark encounters Raymundo Cardenas, who is so ashamed of his appearance that he barely leaves the house, and in Texas he visits a teenage mother who weighs 29st. He also learns how a clinic specialising in gastric band surgery is preparing for one of its biggest clients.
