Junior Doctors: Your Life in Their Hands

Series 2 - Episode 5

Radio Times
Review by:
David Crawford

Hurrah, Milla’s back! She’s such a great character, it seems odd that she’s barely been seen since episode one. She’s pursuing her dream career on the dermatology ward, dealing with patients with psoriasis. Anyone with fond memories of The Singing Detective’s lotion-application scenes can calm down, though. Coal tar dabbed on with wooden spatulas is nowhere near as sexy.

About this programme

5/7. The medical professionals have settled into their placements, but the anti-social hours begin to take their toll. Andy hopes to become a surgeon and is keen to gain experience, but when two opportunities to assist in theatre are interrupted, he begins to feel he has a long way to go before achieving his goal. Amieth spends a shift shadowing a consultant anaesthetist, and a stint in the dermatology department reinforces Milla's desire to pursue a career in that field.
