About this programme

A celebration of the music movement which flourished in the US and UK during the 1960s. Featuring profiles of American composers John Cage, Terry Reilly and Steve Reich, as well as their British counterparts Cornelius Cardew, Gavin Bryars and Michael Nyman, who provided a contrast to the rigid musical dogmas of Stockhausen and his fellow serialists.
