Little Crackers

Series 2 - 8. Sheridan Smith's Little Cracker

On Monday Jane Horrocks had us prickling with embarrassment at the story of her stage debut. Sheridan Smith’s explores similar territory. Determined to go to her parents’ gigs (as country act the Daltons), young Sheridan became, age seven, part of the act…

Smith plays her mum, Ralf Little her dad, and Alan Davies puts in a cameo as a failing stand-up. It’s a fond and touching portrait, with lots of laughs.
