If there’s one Christmas foodstuff that divides the nation it’s brussels sprouts. For those of us whose mothers used to put them on to boil around August, they are the devil’s work, yet it just doesn’t seem right to eat your turkey without them. Jamie has come up with a new take on this traditional veg using, of all things, a food processor.

“You just rattle the sprouts straight through it and into a pan with some gorgeous flavours [bacon, sage and Worcestershire sauce]. Done!” he says. Also on his menu is mulled wine (“Christmas in a glass”) and turkey chowder, which he says is “one of the most comforting things you can eat”.
