Little Crackers

Series 2 - 11. Johnny Vegas's Little Cracker

I Was a Teenage Santa conjures up a funny moment from the youth of Johnny Vegas. He’s written and directed this, and pops up, too, but mainly it’s Thomas Mills as a young Johnny obliged to play Santa at a grotty Christmas fair in 1983. The riotous kids make the Outnumbered crew look saintly. A repeat of Barbara Windsor’s My First Brassiere is worth catching if you missed it on Sunday.

About this programme

11/11. A young Johnny is forced to dress as Father Christmas for the church fair when his dad pulls out of the role, but the 13-year-old's seasonal spirit is somewhat lacking. His day gets worse when comparisons are drawn between his physique and that of Santa Claus. Autobiographical comedy short, written by and starring Johnny Vegas.
