Peel yourself a chestnut, here’s the mellow concert of the season. Joining Carole King, who has an album out that’s stuffed with Christmas songs, is Sheffield pop crooner Richard Hawley. Hawley wraps his languid baritone around Silent Night as well as some of his own gorgeous ballads.
Other acts getting in the Christmas mood are the Puppini Sisters, the Mummers and New York-based cool jazz singer Gregory Porter.
