Years of watching crime dramas have taught me many things. First, never, ever go unaccompanied into a meat locker; you know what I mean, those giant walk-in fridges bedecked with big, flapping bits of heavy plastic where slaughtered animals hang from hooks. And I know better than to enter a darkened library.
So you’ll be shrieking, “Keep out of there!” as two Killing characters dice with danger in the penultimate double bill of an engrossing mystery that, with every episode, becomes more tangled. There’s the strong stench of corruption coming from the very top of the Danish government as the portly, decent Justice Minister Buch discovers something Very Bad.
Meanwhile, Sarah Lund and her ruggedly handsome partner Ulrik Strange prepare to embark on a little trip as the truth about the identity of the Team Aegar serial killer comes closer.
But first, there’s a lovely, tender scene as Strange, hesitantly, gently, dismantles Lund’s emotional defences.
About this programme
7/10. Lund remains determined to pursue her target, despite Brix's orders. Buch's bold plan to respond to his predecessor's actions is thrown off course by a journalist's macabre revelation about the suppressed military investigation, while Raben tracks Louise - unaware Special Branch is keeping a close watch on him. Danish crime drama, starring Sofie Grabol.
