About this programme

1/4. New series. Part one of two. Documentary telling the story of how hundreds of dedicated volunteers, benefactors and enthusiasts worked together to build the Welsh Highland Railway in Snowdonia. The project was completed in April 2011, and the programme reveals how the team involved was able to bring the sometimes controversial project to fruition, transforming a run-down industrial line into a modern wonder.
