Here’s a marriage made in heaven — the velvet adenoids of Chrissie Hynde paired with the lazy, Bible Belt drawl of Kings of Leon’s Caleb Fallowell. The resulting version of Up the Neck is a collector’s item.
The Pretenders are the stars of this tribute from 2007, which also pairs them with Incubus, Iggy Pop, and Shirley Manson. Hynde was pushing 60 when the concert was filmed, but none of the youngsters can match her tough-but-tender rocking.
