Ibiza – or “Beefa” as most teenagers call the Balearic party destination – is Paul Merton’s next holiday experience.
“Fish out of water” is the phrase that springs to mind. You’ve certainly never seen so many uncomfortable expressions on one face. Despite getting dressed up in a budgie outfit, throwing some shapes at a silent disco and making a “hip-hop meets flip-flop” number with local DJ legend Guru Josh, he just can’t seem to lose his inhibitions and throw caution to the wind. Until he puts on fake eyelashes and a fetching yellow frock, that is.
“I can’t decide whether I’m Marilyn Monroe or Justin Lee Collins,” he giggles. I think he’s better off sticking with the panama hat, linen jacket and a full set of inhibitions.
About this programme

He attends an animal fancy dress party, meets DJ Guru Josh - who turns out to be on a similar wavelength to the comedian - and receives advice from a transsexual as he dons drag to take part in a carnival.
