It says something about us that we can recall the worst acts on talent shows as easily as the winners. Who could forget Donald’s murdering of Keep Bleeding for his audition on Britain’s Got Talent? Or the gold-suited Daniel’s unrecognisable version of Tainted Love on Pop Idol? If you’re not in the first flush of youth, you may also remember the chap on New Faces who balanced a chair on his mouth.
The second programme of the series takes us through some of the worst auditions as well as giving us a glimpse of Lenny Henry’s first ever New Faces performance and the BGT pilot – which featured Fern Britton on the judging panel.
