About this programme
9/13. The detective investigates the death of a man apparently forced to drink varnish. He encounters the victim's son, a ventriloquist who claims his father was an alcoholic. Author Arthur Conan Doyle helps him in his quest, claiming he wants to base a new character on Murdoch.
