About this programme
1/8. Eight of the world's most experienced drivers navigate treacherous roads across four continents, competing for the title of World's Toughest Trucker and a £100,000 prize. Each journey lasts three days, and they must haul an unusual load of cargo - with one of the competitors eliminated from the show every week. In the first edition, they transport cattle across Cape York Peninsula in Australia, a region inundated by tropical rain for six months of the year, making the roads almost impassable.
