Says CIA tough guy Rex at the start: “I’ve seen some crazy s*** with Torchwood, but now I’m at the limit.” Know how you feel. This series has been all stations to barking and now, as it ends, you may wonder if the bumpy trip was worthwhile.
With the mystical, Gaia-like Blessing at work and “the Families” advancing their plans in Shanghai and Buenos Aires, it’s showdown time. Expect plenty of bloodletting and self-sacrifice – Torchwood has never been afraid to snuff its cutest puppies. But wherever will Jack, Gwen and the increasingly flimsy format go from here?
About this programme
10/10. The Torchwood team travels across the world on a final desperate mission - but it seems that the Three Families are unstoppable, unless a terrible sacrifice is made. Conclusion of the sci-fi thriller, starring John Barrowman and Eve Myles, with Mekhi Phifer, Bill Pullman and Alexa Havins.
