Law & Order: UK

Series 5 - 6. Deal

The Bill’s Lucy Speed is definitely on the wrong side of the law as a crack-addicted mother in a depressing episode (the last in this series) that hammers home the importance of parenting skills with about as much finesse as DS Ronnie Brooks displays when scoffing a family-sized bucket of fried chicken.

A woman has been shot dead as she lay sleeping next to her oblivious husband, but it doesn’t take long for Brooks and Devlin to solve that crime and instead start wading knee-deep through the flotsam and jetsam of the drug world. Be warned: just as the credits roll, one of the major players is felled, blood pumping out of his chest at an alarming rate.

About this programme

6/6. The team struggles to understand the involvement of 12-year-old Kaden Blake in the shooting of mother and carer Lia Brown. As a victim of gang culture, the boy's only protection is keeping silent, and by speaking out about the crime, he sets in motion a devastating chain of events. Guest starring Lucy Speed (EastEnders, The Bill), with Bradley Walsh and Jamie Bamber.
