The Taiwanese still held a four-stroke lead going into the back nine, but after bogeying the 10th hole the gap was further reduced when Australia's Katherine Hull fired birdies on the 11th and 13th, leaving her one shot off the lead. However, both players failed to capitalise on additional birdie opportunities and Tseng claimed the title by the narrowest of margins to become the youngest three-time Major winner in the women's game.
