Meanwhile, a former betting-shop manager and a 16-year-old both suffer suspected strokes - the 61-year-old, once known as the `memory man', is now coming to terms with his diminishing mental capabilities, while the teenager's identical twin and mother wait by his bedside for the results of a brain scan.
