About this programme

1/9. Peter Maddison follows the progress of people designing their dream home in an Australian version of the property programme. In the first episode, he meets Chris Clarke, who spent two years building a timber-and-steel house in Callignee, Victoria, only for it to be burnt down in the Black Saturday bush fires in February 2009, less than a week after completion. Once he has recovered from the initial grief, he sets about constructing a tough, resilient version of the original home.
