About this programme
11/20. The presenters travel to Burghley House in Lincolnshire, which was visited by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in November 1844. Tim Wonnacott uses the monarch's diaries to offer an insight into her stay, and explores the grand building's architecture and antiques. Rosemary Shrager and food historian Ivan Day also prepare gingerbread cakes using original 19th-century moulds.
