Discovering the predecessor of This Is Your Life's big red book, he also comes across a signed programme from the 1936 cup tie between Bolton and Blackpool, an unusual medal awarded for selling vacuum cleaners in the 1930s, and a rose-patterned Staffordshire mug that provides a clue to its famous former owner.
