About this programme

4/17. Tony Robinson and the team excavate the remains of a Roman market town hidden beneath the small Monmouthshire village of Caerwent. The archaeologists are puzzled by the discovery of a maze of walls, and other finds - including a child's toy, evidence of street food and a rare knife handle carved into the shape of two fighting gladiators - prove this was a bustling community.
