In this 2004 episode, two masked men show up at a house and kill the husband, a nightclub owner, and his wife execution-style with two bullets in the back of the head. Then, to Gil Grissom’s puzzlement, the man’s body is dragged onto the street where it’s sure to be discovered. In a further twist, the killers themselves are later found dead, apparently victims of a hired assassin.
Meanwhile, Grissom continues to work on Catherine’s evaluation, prompting an awkward exchange between the pair about her non-existent sex life as well as a confession from her about her father.
