About this programme
Scientist Vera Phillips Griffiths hosts the second dinner party in Coventry, and surprises her guests when she treats them to a reading at the table. However, things take a disastrous turn when she burns the vegetables, and cannot remember if she has put sugar or salt in the dessert.
