Faced with what seems like the near-impossible task of separating two skeletons buried on top of each other and encased in tar, Gil Grissom (William Petersen) announces immediately, “Tar becomes as brittle as glass at about minus 200 degrees,” and waves phials of liquid nitrogen around. Well, everyone knows that, don’t they?
It’s an investigation that has a profound effect on Sara (Jorja Fox). In this story from 2005, Nesting Dolls, she earns a suspension for her aggressive and insubordinate attitude, but also provokes a rare display of emotion from the usually implacable Grissom.
About this programme
