Episode 4888

Radio Times

In the last episode we heard Lee drunkenly mumble something about having done something stupid on the night Lucy Beale was murdered. And now the Carters’ soldier son is nowhere to be found. But do we really think that Lee could have turned killer on that fateful Good Friday? It wouldn’t exactly be a very sensitive portrayal of PTSD if a troubled guy on leave from the Army were to have become homicidal as soon as he returned home.

Another man in trouble – but of a different kind – is Max “any-port-in-a-storm” Branning, who could well be caught with DC Emma Summerhayes when daughter Lauren comes calling at the car lot.

About this programme

Mick and Linda worry when Lee is nowhere to be found following last night's revelation, although he finally turns up and reveals what he knows about the night Lucy was murdered. Lauren visits Max at the car lot in the hope of building some bridges, unaware he is inside with Emma - will she catch the policewoman taking down her dad's particulars? Things look up for Billy when Les gives him a job at the undertaker's, while Tina and Tosh go to see Jake in prison and are shocked by what they find.
