About this programme

Author and illustrator Art Spiegelman discusses his award-winning book Maus, a depiction of his parents' experiences during the Holocaust in which the characters are drawn as mice and cats. He reveals how drawing the cartoons helped him come to terms with his father's recollections, and discusses how reactions to the book have changed since its publication.
