Coronation Street

Episode 8395

Unlike Lucy Beale on EastEnders – who has become more interesting in death than she was in life – Corrie’s Tina has had an eventful time on the Street. So to give her a terminal exit is a risk. Surely one of the best aspects of soap is that you get to revisit characters years down the line?

OK, so Tina’s current unlikely affair with Peter has exasperated many, but actress Michelle Keegan has made such a big impression that it really does seem harsh to close the door on her with such finality. But it looks like there will be no reprieve: here we see the beginning of the end as Tina is attacked and left for dead. Who has tried to kill her?

About this programme

Tina pays the ultimate price for her illicit love as she is attacked and left for dead. Meanwhile, Owen demands to know from Anna why they never sleep together any more, but she refuses to answer and asks to be taken home. Gail confronts Leanne and Kal about their affair, insisting they tell Nick the truth, and Tracy collects the van full of stolen goods before driving it to Tony's lock-up.
