RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2014

Series 1 - Episode 1

For the first time in 30 years Alan Titchmarsh isn’t hosting the BBC’s daily coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show. Joe Swift, Sophie Raworth and Monty Don have that honour, along with Nicki Chapman and Andy Sturgeon.

Instead, Titch has designed a garden to celebrate the golden anniversary of the Britain in Bloom campaign – creating such a buzz that secondary ticketing sites are charging astronomical prices for the sold-out show. Not that there’s any need to panic about missing out when you can get such a perfect view from home.

Among this year’s highlights are a garden representing the complex path towards recovery for members of the armed forces, one illustrating global water issues and Cleve West’s contemporary interpretation of a Persian paradise garden.
