Four dinner party hosts compete for the £1,000 prize in south-east London. Chirpy builder Terry Houlihan aims to talk his way into his guests' affections, pub singer Ita Egan hopes that cabaret and meat pies will make a winning combination, and eccentric student Jon Revell's steaks prove to be as gory as his paintings. Ending the week is retired businessman Oliver Gillie, who turns in a manic performance in the kitchen.
