Episode 4852

Radio Times
Review by:
David Brown

Following Lucy Beale’s murder, everyone’s starting to look a little bit more untrustworthy. Jake, Max, Peter – they’re all acting a bit off. Even Lady Di looks like trouble when cast in a certain light. And then there’s the strange case of Charlie Cotton: a man who appears to have been up to no good since the day he arrived and who now gives Fats more grounds for suspicion.

Someone else who’s got more faces than Max Branning’s had extramarital affairs is air stewardess Nikki. But the soap’s bosses obviously like her because they’ve now grounded her behind a check-in desk, meaning that she’ll be sticking around in Walford for a while longer.

About this programme

Fat Boy is jealous of Dot's growing relationship with Charlie, so Mick advises him to get to know his landlady's grandson better - although he is left more upset than ever when Dot reveals her plans to leave the Square. Nikki bids goodbye to her family and heads back to work, only to be left devastated when her bosses ground her. Seeking a shoulder to cry on, she finds it in the shape of David - but they are being watched. Peter fails to appreciate the dinner Lola has made for him, so she takes surprising action.
