While the rest of us put the empty bottles out for recycling, feeling just a little bit virtuous despite the hangover, Ronnie has a different reason for disposing of a champagne bottle. Having used it to thump a certain over-amorous male, she needs to get rid of the evidence. She also needs help “tidying up” a few things so turns to Phil who is more than willing to give her a hand. Who knew that he was such a domestic goddess when it comes to clearing up a mess?

Meanwhile having waved goodbye to Joey and several other Walford regulars over Christmas, we’re getting to know the new landlords of the Vic who have unpacked an awful lot of emotional baggage since their arrival. Today Mick (Danny Dyer, who is well known for his hardman and geezer roles) oversteps the mark at his daughter’s wedding while Tina is caught creeping out of Billy’s flat. What a family, eh?

About this programme

Phil is annoyed when Ronnie asks for his help with Carl but he soon enjoys finally getting his revenge on the local bully - although his cousin has to step in before he goes too far. Mick shocks Linda by announcing they have been invited to Nancy's wedding. However, he simply isn't prepared to watch his daughter marry a man he doesn't like - and takes an extreme course of action to prevent the ceremony going ahead. Tina creeps out after her night with Billy, and Denise and Masood struggle to remember their drunken actions.
