About this programme
1/7. Tommy Hicks of the Midsomer Yeomanry finally has his name added to the Midsomer Parva war memorial, though he was shot for cowardice at the Somme in the First World War. It becomes apparent that time has not healed the rift between his descendants and the residents of Hammond Hall, whose patriarch Duggie Hammond pulled the trigger on his comrade all those years ago. A drink-fuelled mock trial of retired colonel Henry Hammond leads to a killing, and Tom Barnaby has to unravel the tangle of bitterness linking property developer Dave Hicks's brood with their neighbours. Drama, guest starring Donald Sinden and George Cole, with John Nettles and Jason Hughes.
