Agatha Christie's Poirot

Series 12 - 3. Halloween Party

Radio Times
Review by:
David Brown

Halloween night and a screenplay by horror aficionado Mark Gatiss: who could ask for anything more? He’s the perfect choice to adapt this atmospheric (and slightly macabre) tale about the investigation into the death of a girl found drowned in an apple-bobbing tub at a village party. Young Joyce had boasted of having witnessed a killing years before and although most dismissed her tale as pure fantasy, Poirot is not so sure.

It turns out there have been a number of suspicious deaths in the area that the girl could have seen, and among the top thesps on the suspect list are Amelia Bullmore, Timothy West and Eric Sykes.

About this programme

Arriving to investigate, Poirot delves back into the annals of local life - and uncovers a series of mysterious deaths, any one of which could have a bearing on the present case. David Suchet, Amelia Bullmore and Zoe Wanamaker star.
