- Radio Times
A US sleuther with a bad premise: a New York crime writer (Nathan Fillion) helps the cops catch killers. Worse, he’s a maverick ladies’ man and his pseudo-partner (Stana Katic) is a hot but fussy single woman. Do me a favour.
Castle is often as slick and nutritionless as squeezy cheese, but just when you want to give up (Castle has a precocious teen daughter who talks like an adult! No! Stop it!), you find the script is sharper and wittier than it should be, and the whodunnit has you hooked. Like its lead character, Castle is charming and fun, damn it.
